ICRA 1998 Workshops and Tutorials 
Call for Proposals
The
  1998 IEEE
International Conference on Robotics and Automation will be held
in Leuven, Belgium, May 16-21, 1998.  Tutorials and workshops are a
vital part of the Conference and a valuable services to the Society.
The 1998 Program Committee is seeking new and creative topics that
will appeal to Society members: the sky's the limit!  Please consider
organizing an event.  As an experiment, we will conduct all reviews
and interactions via email.  
Proposals following the format below must arrive via email (to the
address below) by 
Oct 15,
1997.
Space permits us to accept no more than 10 proposals based on
committee review.  The primary criteria for selection are anticipated
level of interest, impact, creativity, technical background of
presenters.  We encourage programs that will attract industrial
members.
Proposal Format:
-  Title
 -  Abstract   (<200 words, indicate if full or half day)
 -  Organizers (complete address, phone, and email)
 -  Confirmed Presenters with affiliations 
 -  List of Topics
 -  Motivation and Objectives (<300 words)
 -  Primary/Secondary Audience
 -  Relation to previous ICRA workshops/tutorials
 -  Would you consider presenting your event as a Panel
	during the conference?
 
Please email plain text (no .doc or .ps files!). Each section
should be numbered and separated by blank lines.
Decisions will be posted here on Jan 15, 1998.  Organizers agree
to collect written course notes from all speakers no later than
February 15, 1998.
